We Are All the Same in the Dark

We Are All the Same in the DarkWe Are All the Same in the Dark by Julia Heaberlin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“In complete darkness we are all the same, it is only our knowledge and wisdom that separates us, don’t let your eyes deceive you.”

I LOVED this book for so many reasons. I read this because I was captivated by a review. Thrillers have always been my guilty pleasure. But this book isn’t that. It is a slow and personal tale written in three points of view. Yes, there is twisty mystery, but that is only part of it. It is primarily story of Wyatt, Odette, and Angel and how they are are inexorably linked to one another. With stellar writing and good consistent storytelling, Julia Heaberlin sucks you in with her flawed characters and small town glory. You will love Odette and Angel. Five stars.
